EMbeDS appoints two Associate Scientific Coordinators

We welcome Andrea Mina and Nicola Bellè who recently joined EMbeDS as Associate Scientific Coordinators.

Andrea Mina (Institute of Economics) and Nicola Belle' (Institute of Management) work with Francesca Chiaromonte (the Scientific Coordinator) and participate to activities of the Managing Board.

 

 

 

Andrea Mina is an Associate Professor in the Institute of Economics of the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, a Fellow of the Cambridge Judge Business School and a Senior Researcher of the Centre for Business Research at the University of Cambridge. His research focuses on the analysis of technical change, innovation networks and industrial dynamics, science and technology policy and the financing of innovation. Prior to his appointment at Sant’Anna, he was University Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Economics of Innovation at the Cambridge Judge Business School and Director of Economic Studies and Fellow of St Edmund’s College. Andrea has been Principal and Co-Investigator of several projects funded, among others, by the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), the Medical Research Council (MRC), the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts (NESTA), the Council for Industry and Higher Education and the European Commission. He has published in the leading innovation journals and is Associate Editor of the journal Industry and Innovation.

 

Nicola Bellé is an Assistant Professor in the Institute of Management of the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies. His research focuses on behavioral human resource management. Specifically, he studies how we can use behavioral science to understand work motivation and improve decision-making in the context of mission-driven organizations. Prior to joining the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, Nicola was an assistant professor at Bocconi University and a faculty member of the SDA Bocconi School of Management, where he used to serve as the managing editor of the Observatory on Change in Public Administration. Nicola’s peer-reviewed publications have appeared in academic journals including Public Administration Review, Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, Public Administration, Review of Public Personnel Administration, International Public Management Journal and others. Nicola holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration and Management from the University of Parma, a Master of Public Policy from the University of California, Los Angeles (Outstanding Academic Achievement), and a Laurea (cum Laude) in Business Administration from Bocconi University. He is currently an Editor of Public Administration Review.
